Intellectual property
The site's design, branding, original content, and all proprietary metrics and methodology (including but not limited to Level of Opposition, Versus One, Risk Factor, Weight Cutting, and the Pound-for-Pound formula) are owned by BoxingP4P and constitute original intellectual creations. Boxer data and bout information are sourced from the Boxing Data API; their use on this site is subject to our data source agreements. You may not copy, reproduce, or derive works from the site's design, branding, metrics, or methodology without explicit written permission.
Use of data and metrics
The metrics and data displayed on this site are proprietary. Restrictions on their use are set out in the section below and on our Legal notice. By using the site you agree to respect those restrictions.
Proprietary metrics and methodology
The metrics, formulas, and methodology described on this site — including Level of Opposition (LoO), Versus One, Risk Factor, Weight Cutting, the Pound-for-Pound (P4P) composite formula, and all related calculations, constants, and weighting parameters — are original creations of BoxingP4P and are protected as intellectual property. All rights are reserved.
Reproduction, replication, or adaptation of these metrics, formulas, or methodology — in whole or in part — is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from BoxingP4P. This includes, but is not limited to, using these metrics or substantially similar calculations to build competing websites, applications, or services.
Referencing BoxingP4P's metrics in editorial, journalistic, or academic contexts (e.g. citing a boxer's LoO score) is permitted provided the source is clearly attributed to BoxingP4P with a link to the site.
BoxingP4P reserves the right to take any legal action available to enforce these terms and protect its intellectual property.
An overview of the concepts behind our metrics is available on our Methodology page. The specific implementation details, constants, and weighting parameters are proprietary and are not disclosed. Boxer and bout data used to compute these metrics are sourced from the Boxing Data API; any use of that underlying data may be subject to separate terms from the data provider.
